Arà table lamp by Philippe Starck (80s)

The Arà table lamp is an iconic creation designed by Philippe Starck and produced by Flos Italia in 1988. This postmodern design piece is in excellent working order. The lamp has an innovative mechanism: by tilting the upper part upwards, the light turns off, while by tilting it downwards, it turns on. It is equipped with the original electronic transformer on plug and has a structure made of high-quality materials, including a head in die-cast zamak alloy, a conical rod in tubular steel and a base in stamped steel with an internal lead counterweight. The front screen is in pressed glass, and the finish is chrome. The dimensions of the lamp are 17 cm wide, 12 cm deep and 56 cm high, with a distinctive style that fully represents the Italian design of the 80s.
