Description
Iconic lamp from the historic Italian brand Martinelli Luce, designed in 1969 by founder and designer Elio Martinelli, known for his many creations for the group. This large design piece was born from the elaboration of the geometric shape of a sphere, hollowed out to evoke a leaf that wraps around itself. The rear cavity, which contains the power cable, recalls the veining of the leaf. Attention to technology and innovation has always characterized Elio Martinelli's work, and this lamp represents one of the most significant examples of molding technology, in particular thermoforming. In the 1960s, the affirmation of plastic materials revolutionized design, and this lamp is a witness to that historic turning point. The particular blue color and the excellent condition in which it is found, practically new, make it a rare and precious piece.
