Description
The Chaise Longue 1041 by MDF Italia is an iconic design piece, made with a soft spotted pony hair covering in elegant shades of black and white. The armchair has a black leather headrest and a Mannesman tubular structure with a chrome finish, covered in leather and pony hair. In excellent condition, this model is part of a collection of artifacts designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand, who designed the original in 1929. MDF Italia, a subcontractor for Cassina, produced and distributed these works in showrooms throughout Europe, until being acquired by Holding Cassina in 2013. The LC4 was part of the MDF Italia catalog with the code 1401, and was presented on pages 59, 60 and 61. This piece represents a modern interpretation of a classic of twentieth-century design.
