Description
Patate modular sofa, a design icon produced by Airborne France in the 70s. This modular set, composed of seven pieces, offers a versatile arrangement that allows it to easily adapt to any living space. Patate embodies the playful and functional spirit of mid-century design, with a unique style that does not go unnoticed. Each module is upholstered in an original black ribbed fabric, while the frame features soft and voluminous padding. The fluid curves that connect the various elements create a welcoming and inviting shape, and the modularity allows the pieces to be rearranged or used individually, thus offering a highly customizable furnishing solution. The sofa is used and shows signs of aging that do not detract from its overall aesthetic. The fabric is in good overall condition, with a barely visible tear in an area that is not noticeable with daily use. Part of the back of the upholstery is slightly unstitched, but this could easily be fixed. The fiberglass bases of the straight elements have some cracks due to age, but these could be repaired to ensure greater stability and durability. The general signs of wear are consistent with age and use, giving the sofa an authenticity that tells its story. The standard configuration of the sofa occupies approximately 4x3 meters, but being modular, it can be arranged in different arrangements. Each module has indicative dimensions of 88 x 90 x 70 cm for the straight elements, 85 x 65 x 40 cm for the pouf, and 90 x 90 x 70 cm for the corner element.
