Description
Urio modular bookcase designed in the 1960s by Ico and Luisa Parisi for MIM Roma. The bookcase is made up of four modules which also have optional back panels which were sold separately... they were in fact additional elements which are rarely found today. The bookcase can be assembled in different ways, with or without backs. In fact, if the latter are excluded, the metal support structures will be visible (example published in the last photo). You can customize the position of the individual elements, deciding their location according to your needs. Even the metal bookend elements can be moved as desired. The different color of the finish is curious, deliberately combined by alternating the different wood essences. In the dark finishes the sides are light, to create a link between the colours. A sixth metal support structure will be added to the bookcase packaging, identical to the others, which will allow it to be divided into two distinct units, composed as desired into 1+3 modules or 2+2. The bookcase has been completely finished and polished, ready to be displayed.
