Description
From a brilliant idea by Goffredo Reggiani, produced by Lampadari Reggiani, this lamp was born which can function both as a lampshade and as a wall lamp. Its spherical structure magnetically anchored to the base makes it very flexible and adjustable in the direction of almost 365 degrees. The base can be placed on a table or mounted on a wall. The magnetic mount was so innovative when designed in the 1960s that it was registered as a patent. A beautiful example of Space Age style, with an external finish in satin chrome steel and an internal finish in white steel, it is an iconic example of Italian design of the time. The lamp has been restored with care and love to restore shine to the chrome, however it shows the signs of aging that make it unique, in particular in the internal white lacquering. The electrical cable has been replaced.
