Rocking chair originally designed by Josef Hoffmann in the 1920s. republished by Wittmann in the 1980s Josef Hoffmann (Vienna, 15 December 1870 – Vienna, 7 May 1956) was an Austrian architect and designer. He was among the founders of the Vienna Secession and co-founder of the Wiener Werkstätte. This is one of his creations: a pioneering work of modern Bauhaus architecture and the pinnacle of Vienna Secession architecture. The concept and design of which later led to the creation of the better-known Sitzmaschine. An extremely rare object, worthy of private collections or even a museum. This lounge chair offers a very ergonomic sitting experience, despite its rigid appearance. It features an adjustable backrest and footrest, which can be completely folded.
