The Studio 42 is a famous semi-standard mechanical typewriter made by Olivetti. It was designed in 1935 by Ottavio Luzzati, with designs by the architects Figini and Pollini (in those years engaged in the construction of the Olivetti Complex) and by the painter Xanti Schawinsky. The planning took 3 years. It is Olivetti's first semi-standard typewriter, and is also known as the M2.
