Arzeibajan vintage carpet in wool and cotton

Old rectangular rug hand-knotted in Russia in the Azerbaijan area characterized by the typical geometric ornaments of the artifacts made in those areas under the Anatolian influence. The tones are softened and highlighted by black outlines. Weft in cotton and fleece in local wool. It dates back to the second half of the 20th century.

This rug is hand knotted and therefore there may be slight differences in shape, thickness and pattern. This is particularly noticeable in rural and nomadic carpets.
