Description
Elegant French coffee table dating back to the second half of the 20th century, made in the Retour d'Égypte style. The piece of furniture is veneered in thuja root with beech inserts and embellished with refined decorations in gilded and chiseled metal. The upper surface, in good-sized marble, makes it perfect for hosting decorative objects such as marble or bronze sculptures or vases with flowers. The harmonious proportions and the refinement of the finishes make it a piece of furniture with great aesthetic impact. The structure rests on zoomorphic feet and the connection between the base and the top occurs via four columns decorated with caryatids, a distinctive element of the French style. The coffee table shows slight signs of aging, but remains solid and in good overall condition.
