Venetian trumeau with chinoiserie in lacquered and gilded wood (20th century)

Venetian chinoiserie trumeau dating back to the mid-20th century. The piece of furniture is double-bodied, with a curved and curved structure, made of richly carved, lacquered and gilded wood. The chinoiserie-style decorations, with oriental genre figures and scenes, give it a timeless elegance and a notable artistic quality. The upper part is composed of a door with glass display case, two internal shelves and a base, offering a discreet storage capacity. In the lower part, the trumeau has three roomy drawers and a drawer that opens to reveal a writing surface, four small drawers and a central door, all also lacquered and painted, as can be seen in the photos. The piece of furniture shows small signs of aging that enhance its authentic character. The cymatium has undergone a restoration, visible in the images. Complete with a working key, the trumeau is structurally in excellent condition and is in a good state of conservation.
