Description
The Geloso G16/7 receiver, produced in Milan in the early 1970s, is an AM-FM device based on the superheterodyne principle, with intermediate frequencies of 475 and 10,700 kHz. It is equipped with 11 transistors, including the BF194, BF195, BC148, BC158, AC187, AC188 models, an unidentified transistor and a B30C300. It supports the medium wave (180-580 meters) and frequency modulation (87-108 MHz) wavebands. It can operate both connected to the mains, with voltages of 125, 160 or 220 Volts, and with batteries (8 of 1.5 Volts). The sound is emitted by a magnetodynamic speaker with permanent magnet and moving coil, and the output power is 1.3 Watts, although the quality is not specified. The body of the device is made of plastic with a large horizontal ornament shape. The measurements are 250 mm wide, 120 mm high and 150 mm deep, for a weight of 1.3 kg. The model is documented in the ANIE catalog of 1971-72 and in the Bollettino Tecnico Geloso n. 114 of the autumn-winter 1970-71.
